Beschreibung
A story from a South Moravian village in the 1950s. The initial euphoria of the residents has faded, leaving only harsh reality. In the spring, a decaying corpse of a man is found in an old quarry. Later, it is identified as local Pavel Kuna, whose sudden disappearance the villagers considered a departure. After all, he would not be the first or the last. Determining the cause of death is difficult, so the final verdict sounds like an unfortunate accident. Karel Bednář, a former policeman who decided to leave the police force due to the political situation in the country and dedicate himself to farming, has significant doubts about the notion that it was an unfortunate accident.
