Isabel Gallagher, a young wife and new mother, is found brutally murdered in her bedroom in the morning. She clutches an old razor blade in her hand. On the same day, another young mother, Joyce Breslin, goes missing, and her four-year-old son Evan disappears from preschool as well. An old razor blade is also found in her house, and she is soon discovered murdered too. Inspector Lottie Parker faces an exceptionally challenging case, complicated by the discovery of children's bones on a nearby sacred hill. Lottie desperately tries to find little Evan alive while also investigating the past of both young mothers. She uncovers that they had been secretly meeting and were preparing a plan for revenge together...
