Silas is an ordinary twelve-year-old boy who lives with his dad in a small house in the American town of Boneville. He would be completely ordinary if he didn't see the ghosts of the deceased and if his best friend wasn't one of them. And when three unknown men on horseback take his father away one terrifying night, he feels like the loneliest boy in the world. But then a strange pony appears at the house, and Silas decides that he, along with his ghostly companion, will embark on a dangerous quest to rescue his dad. But can he face the dangers of the outside world and his family's past?
