Young screenwriter Alex arrives in Tokyo as a guest of an international film festival, but the premiere of her first film is just a cover for the true reason for her trip – she has actually come to search for her sister Adéla, who has disappeared without a trace in the Japanese megacity. Without knowledge of the place, the language, or any allies, the girl embarks on a search, determined to find her sister at any cost. Neon Stranger is a psychological thriller that throws Czech protagonists into a Japanese environment; both familiar and alien, modern and traditional, peaceful and bloodily dangerous.
