Alana Shropshire is in a difficult situation. Her father Ed, just shy of eighty, has started a relationship with his twenty-eight-year-old caregiver, which his sons are not happy about at all. Teddy and Martin urge their sister to help them 'protect' their father. However, Alana realizes that they are really only after his wealth, and she refuses to get involved in the controversial romance. As a hard-working single mother, she has much more important concerns – and she has long been estranged from her wealthy family. But when Ed proposes to Kelly, her brothers convince Alana to fly out to confront their father and get rid of the gold digger together. However, Kelly is much more cunning than they expected, and Alana gets entangled in an increasingly dangerous plan full of secrets and surprises. How far are her siblings willing to go?
