Star Trek: Typhonský pakt – Na pokraji války – McCormack Una (2023)

A new work from the Star Trek: The Next Generation universe, where tensions are rising between two space superpowers. The always independent Venettan Convent becomes the flashpoint of a tense armed stalemate between the two powers dominating the universe – the United Federation of Planets and the recently established Typhon Pact. The Venettan government seeks protection from one of the Pact's members, the Tzenketh Coalition, and has agreed to provide three supply bases for the Tzenkeths. However, these bases would be unacceptably close to the borders of Federation, Cardassian, and Ferengi space if armed. While Captain Ezri Dax heads to one of these bases aboard the U.S.S. Aventine to find out what is really happening there, Captain Jean-Luc Picard must undertake a diplomatic mission to the homeworld of the Venette Convent aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, with orders to achieve a mutually satisfactory peaceful resolution to the entire matter. However, the Cardassian envoys clearly do not intend to behave diplomatically during the negotiations, which quickly steers the already tense situation toward open war...
