Mari from the Pilgrims clan and Nik from the Forest tribe recently stood as members of rival clans against each other. Now, however, they fight side by side, along with their dog companions, to save not only each other but also their newly formed pack. Hunter Thaddeus has betrayed his own people and contributed to their doom caused by a forest fire. But that’s not enough for him. He craves power over the tribe and blames Mari for all the evil that has befallen his tribe and himself. He will do anything to gain power, even if it means destroying everything in his path.
