A story about the fastest seafarers of the Mediterranean and a treasure of unimaginable value. The Mediterranean, A.D. 828. Viking Alrik and his crew engage in a peculiar but profitable trade – they transport loads of ice from Etna to Ravenna on their dragon ship. Even faster than the ice pirates is their reputation, which reaches the Venetian Doge. The Vikings are tasked with smuggling the remains of Saint Mark from Alexandria and transporting them to the lagoon cities. However, obtaining the saint's relics proves to be much more challenging than extracting ice from a volcano.
