The Battle of Britain begins. It is the summer of 1940, Europe is plunging into the chaos of war, and most Britons are gazing up at the skies over England. Unwittingly, she awakens a long-buried history that has been deliberately silenced and brings down the wrath of those who have no interest in the unspoken truth surfacing. In her novel, the author again alternates between two time frames (the wartime one is partly inspired by her father's experiences) and, as always, surprises the reader with an unexpected resolution to the love story.
