Before Robert Šlachta entered politics, a series of debates with readers about his first book, Thirty Years Under Oath, which he co-authored with Josef Klíma and which became a bestseller, took place. It was during these debates that Robert Šlachta, along with his closest collaborators, recorded the sentiments of the citizens and the hunger for a political force that would bring order to the country. The establishment of the political movement Přísaha was preceded by a petition campaign, during which Robert Šlachta visited numerous cities, collected signatures in support of his movement, spoke with people, and presented the visions of the new political grouping.
