The Jizera Mountains are a paradise for perceptive wanderers and enchanted hikers who come at any time of the year – in the early summer for the blooming marsh marigolds in Jizerka, in autumn for the splendor of the golden leaves of beech forests, and in winter for cross-country skiing on endless white trails. It is no coincidence that the famous Jizerská padesátka takes place here. The 'Jizerky' are also an area that boasts the largest concentration of lookout towers and well-maintained viewpoints, and we can find a great number of various memorials and monuments here. Some await us right by the path, while others hide in the deep forest or rocky labyrinth, each containing a human fate. So let us together seek out both familiar and unknown places, and let us not be afraid to walk along little-trodden paths. The Jizera Mountains are as hospitable as the people who live here.
