The fate of young soldier Arthur Dodd documents the lesser-known history of British prisoners of war in Auschwitz. Arthur was captured in 1943 and spent nearly two years in the camp. After the war, he tried to speak about his experiences, but for a long time it was very difficult for him to describe what he had seen. In his narrative, he describes not only the atrocities committed by the Nazis against the prisoners but also captures the mood among the captives, who tried to conduct a covert resistance against the Germans.
