Beschreibung
The story of one of the oldest Czech acting families, founded in the mid-19th century by Ondřej Červíček, a pupil of J. K. Tyl. The narrative about the members of the Červíček family and the Budínský acting company is followed by a recounting of Rudolf Hrušínský's father, whose records preserved valuable testimony about the Liberated Theatre and the Theatre of Vlasta Burian. The core of the book is the personality of the great Czech actor Rudolf Hrušínský, a long-time member of the National Theatre's drama company, and the history of the acting lineage is concluded with profiles of Rudolf Hrušínský's descendants and successors who continue to develop the family tradition. The book is equipped with an extensive visual supplement.
