Kapitoly z dejín vedy na vysokých školách (slovensky) – Hallon Ľudovít (2023)

During the period from 1918 to 1968, a fundamental shift occurred in the history of higher education in Slovakia against the backdrop of the development of several political regimes. An urgent task for Slovak historiography was to map the development of science at universities during this tumultuous period of institutional evolution in higher education. A collective of workers from the Department of the History of Science and Technology at the Historical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i. undertook to contribute, at least partially, to the realization of this challenging task. They chose the form of special probes into the development of science in selected areas of higher education, as well as in some other areas that are related to the development of science at universities from various perspectives during the monitored period. Individual probes into the history of science at universities were processed in the form of partial studies for a joint publication titled Chapters from the History of Science at Universities in Slovakia from 1918 to 1968. The publication consists of six chapters.
