The aim of the book is the first comprehensive reflection of the extensive artistic work of Tomáš Ruller. It presents a cross-section of his activities at various levels: in period and contemporary texts and interviews. Alongside an analytical reflection on the meaning and significance of the processes occurring during individual events, it seeks to capture the author's existing work as perceived by both Czech and foreign theorists. Ruller's personal reflections convey their original meaning in the given historical situation and are simultaneously independent and original artistic works of a timeless character. The reproduced visual documentation offers the reader the opportunity for their own visual aesthetic perception. The basic insights gained from the expert analysis of the works also provide a broader testimony, among other things, about the long-under-reflected and unexplored area of Czech performative art and its global context. Tomáš Ruller, one of the prominent representatives of action art, is better known abroad than at home.
