Beschreibung
The monograph focuses on a comparative analysis of selected Russian and Czech syntactic terms from three terminological areas: phrases/syntagmas, syntactic relationships and means of their expression, and sentence constituents. The subject of the investigation is the principles and tasks of comparative terminology, particularly the definition of unresolved issues in contemporary terminology. Emphasis is placed primarily on the differences in the meanings of syntactic terms in the works of Russian and Czech linguists. A detailed analysis of individual syntactic phenomena and categories highlights their complexity and diversity and contributes to the development of syncretic theories. The work is intended for Czech Russianists, Russian Bohemists, translators, and anyone dealing with similar issues.
