Beschreibung
The theme of this book is the development of multilingualism in the teaching of German as a second foreign language after English. The presented research focuses on how interactions in the teaching of the German language are organized in situations where the influence of English is evident. The results indicate that in the analyzed situations, the structure of initiation – response – feedback (the so-called IRF) dominates in various variations, and that the English language is used in all its phases, although it serves different functions. The book can be seen as a contribution to discussions about real language use in foreign language teaching and to the development of subject-didactic research in general.
