Beschreibung
The book follows the successful titles "Colorful and Green: Chapters on Voluntary Simplicity" and "Lukewarm and Hesitant: Chapters on Ecological Luxury." The author asks why, in a time of ongoing devastation of nature, interest in its protection is declining. Are the media to blame, or is our deafness to ecological problems rooted in our mental makeup, which tries to repress unpleasant realities? The author is interested in why some people remain loyal to nature. She seeks answers on sociological, philosophical, psychological, and theological levels. However, the book also surprises readers with an unexpected question: why protect nature at all when it can take care of itself; it is not weak, but strong and cruel. The students of Professor Librová, Vojtěch Pelikán, Lucie Galčanová, and Lukáš Kala, in their chapters, are interested in the children of the "colorful": have they inherited their parents' modest way of life?
