Beschreibung
The collection is an extract of stimulating inputs from the seminar Decoding working places as learning spaces, organized by the Institute of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University from June 21 to 23, 2007, in Brno, with the support of the Austrian Office for Science and Research in Brno. From the presentations at the seminar, those contributions were selected for this collection that emphasize empirical findings in relation to (diverse) theoretical backgrounds. At the same time, they illustrate the theme across a rich spectrum of work environments. The studies provide the reader with an immediate opportunity to compare the Czech reality with that of other countries. It is possible to compare the 'cultures' of learning and education in different countries, across various economic sectors, in diverse professions, and within individual companies. We believe that the reader interested in adult vocational education will take advantage of this opportunity.
