The mysterious L., who forcefully enters the writer's life, has all the parameters to garner admiration, yet - as will be revealed later - 'is the type of person that no writer should ever meet.' Not only does the protagonist, but also the reader unwittingly falls into the relentless machinery of questions: where do the boundaries between reality and fiction, between author and character, between literature and reader begin and end... For the protagonist, however, this machinery unexpectedly turns into a very dangerous mill wheel - it’s now a matter of life and death.
