This book describes the service of Czech soldiers deployed in Afghanistan. Thousands served there from the beginning to the hectic final days of the war. Inspired by events in 2018, it follows members of the 10th Guard Company as they protected Bagram Airfield and its surroundings. 5 August 2018 entered Czech history as the day three Czech soldiers were killed. The story conveys the soldiers’ feelings, mood and way of life at the base during this deployment.
