The final part of the mystification series about an alternate Second World War arrives on bookstore shelves. Summer 1942 is leaning towards autumn. The Red Army has not been defeated, and two million men are no loss for them. The speed and strength of the next waves of attack are shocking. The Wehrmacht is retreating to old lines, and the Soviets are rushing again towards Krakow. Czechoslovakia has a war president, who struggles to convince citizens that mobilization is now necessary. Everything is at stake, and the Little Entente will fight for survival. Czechoslovak politicians believe they control the Little Entente, but the Danube monarchs have their own plans. The war accelerates the concentration of Central Europe first into two strong power blocs, then into two old-new empires. Only the Czechs and Slovaks somehow do not fit into this concept. Everything would be much simpler if they were weakened, or perhaps even if they did not exist. They argue among themselves and hinder the integration process. Stubbornly, they cling to their Hussite traditions and rituals, but also to their military qualities. They sit in the middle of Europe like frogs at the spring.
