Beschreibung
The publication raises the question of the role of social sciences in examining the causes, manifestations, and solutions to climate change, which is significantly influenced by social, political, and economic factors - and ultimately human behavior. Climate change affects all aspects of human activity and existence. Thus, social sciences play a key role in its study and resolution, even though this area has long been almost exclusively the domain of natural sciences.
Leading Czech scientists from several social science disciplines, including sociology, economics, political science, pedagogy, and law, demonstrate the social dimension of climate change within the book and explain the essential content knowledge of the respective social science field.
They also examine the impact of climate change on the relevant scientific field and highlight the need for interdisciplinarity.
