The twenty-seventh volume of the Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands presents readers with biographies of personalities whose names begin with the letters Hr–Hüb, and represents another installment of an extensive encyclopedic project that has been developed in collaboration with over a hundred authors from academic, university, and other institutions under the guidance of the biographical team of the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. As part of the project, around 25,000 biographies of personalities from all times and fields of human activity associated with the Czech lands (regardless of ethnic origin) will be processed, who were born, lived, and worked in the specified territory, even if they spent only part of their lives there.
