Zoological research in the Amazon forests is an adventure. It requires overcoming natural obstacles, gaining the trust of local inhabitants, and hunting animals. It is still possible to explore areas that scientists have not penetrated, and there is still much to discover. The book 'In Search of Unknown Creatures of the Amazon Forests' recounts the experiences and scientific insights gained by the author during twenty-four research trips to the lowland Amazon rainforest, the cloud forests of the Andes, and the dry plains of the Altiplano. It is a loose continuation of the author's previous book 'A Walk Through the Amazon Rainforest.'
