The second, revised, and expanded edition of the successful monograph contains, in addition to chapters focused on traditional topics of general psychology, such as cognitive, motivational, and emotional processes, extensive sequences on consciousness and the unconscious. The author has newly incorporated findings on the management of human psychology and executive functions. The chapters on sleep, dreaming, and human thinking have also been considerably expanded. The topic of motivation is enriched with models of explicit motives. The author has supplemented the issue of emotions with summaries of influential contemporary theories. A completely new final chapter on human aggression is included. In this new edition of the book, the author maximally draws from primary sources, replacing many original citations from secondary sources. All findings are presented in a very clear and readable manner. The publication is primarily intended for students of psychology and other humanities.
