Beschreibung
The book presents now mostly forgotten expressionist dramas that were written between 1910 and 1924. However, since the editors used a territorial perspective in compiling it, the anthology includes, alongside plays that shaped the character of Czech interwar theater, also plays written by German-speaking playwrights who were living in our territory at the same time. The publication is introduced by three studies dedicated to expressionism in general and specifically to Czech, as well as German dramatic works from Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia.
