The publication represents the first work of its kind in the context of national culture and fills a significant gap that Czech art history has had until now. The biographical and bibliographical lexicon includes personalities whose work is already complete, including previously overlooked art historians of German nationality, but it also places considerable emphasis on presenting contemporary representatives of this field from all generations. Interested readers will find biographical and bibliographical information about professionals working in museum and gallery institutions, in heritage conservation, at universities and academic institutes, as well as about theorists, art critics, journalists, and curators of contemporary art exhibitions, among others.
