Radek Jaroš is the most successful Czech Himalayan climber. As only the fifteenth person in the world, he ascended all fourteen of the highest mountains on our planet without the use of oxygen equipment or the support of high-altitude porters. He thus became the holder of the 'Crown of the Himalayas.' This was followed by another project, the so-called 'Crown of the World,' which means climbing the highest peaks of all continents. After the legendary Reinhold Messner, he became only the second person in the world to achieve this, of course without oxygen equipment. After reaching the highest peaks of the continents located north of the equator, which is described in the book 'Northern Hemisphere of Our Globe,' Radek Jaroš set out for the southern hemisphere as part of the Crown of the World project. The book 'Southern Hemisphere of Our Globe' describes expeditions to the four highest peaks located on these continents. In 2017, Radek completed an expedition to Mount Kosciuszko – the highest peak of mainland Australia.
