LTC Prague 1927 - 1950 - The History of a Legendary Hockey Club" spans 240 pages and details the 23-year existence of one of the best European hockey teams of the 1930s, whose players formed the backbone of the Czechoslovak national team for two decades, including the world champion teams of 1947 and 1949. ***** After the club was dismantled by the communist regime in 1950, it was impossible to talk or write about the club, its outstanding achievements, its unimaginable dominance on home ice by today's standards, or most of its exceptional players, and the club, due to the indifference of hockey journalists, nearly fell into oblivion. Even the free conditions after 1990 did not bring a significant change, and to this day, the hockey club, which completely dominated the highest domestic hockey competitions from 1927 to 1950 with the exception of two seasons, has not seen a publication that would thoroughly introduce the hockey public to its glorious history and remarkable players.
