The book offers insights from various angles into a short but very significant and immensely interesting phase of the complicated history of Czech encounters with the Iberian world – namely Spain, Portugal, and the countries of Latin America. It includes linguistics and literary studies, art history, political science, ethnology, and the interconnected study centers in Prague, Brno, and Olomouc. The interviews also touch on the specific family backgrounds and life experiences of the interviewees, including their own journeys to the Spanish world. The book is accompanied by a biographical and institutional glossary.
