The first chapter is intended for those interested in clarifying the issues of taxation and insurance of wages and related incomes in the Czech Republic. Employee wages are subject to income tax, and thus every employee in the private sector pays wage tax. Obstacles at work have the consequence that the employee cannot perform work according to the employment contract and during the specified working hours. The Labor Code therefore regulates various employee rights in relation to situations where an obstacle at work has arisen. What does the right of construction entail, what pitfalls does it hide, what possibilities and advantages does it offer, and why should this not only purely legal issue be examined in more detail from an accounting and tax perspective.
