Beschreibung
1893: Augustin Rothmayer works as a gravedigger at the famous Vienna Central Cemetery. A grumpy oddball, he is also very well-read and a self-taught scholar. In his spare time, he writes an Almanac for Gravediggers. However, Inspector Leopold von Herzfeldt disturbs his peace. The young policeman needs an expert on everything related to death. He is investigating the brutal murders of Viennese maids. Each of them was mercilessly stabbed with a stake. The gravedigger knows that this was how the dead were kept in their graves since ancient times to prevent them from harming the living. Is there a killer in Vienna who believes in vampires?
