Beschreibung
The true story of a young Jewish Slovak woman who witnessed the worst horrors of Auschwitz. The book describes her life in interwar Lučenec, the annexation by Hungary, and the increasingly dire situation for Jews. Eventually, Viola and her family are sent to transport. Unlike her relatives, she catches the attention of the infamous Dr. Mengele and becomes one of his "girls" – a group of women and girls subjected to various experiments. Her victory lies not only in the fact that she survived but also in that, despite everything, she managed to start a family and have children.
