Astrid Phelps is thirty-two and after years of not-so-successfully working as a set designer, she is trying to start over – and primarily to deal with her alcohol addiction, which has already cost her a lot. Although she would have imagined everything quite differently, upon returning from a London rehab, she moves in with her sober, God-fearing mother in the quiet seaside town of Flinstead. When she meets a charming young man named Josh, it seems that she might get a new chance. However, not everything is as rosy as it might appear, because someone knows more about her past life than she would like, and wants her to pay for her sins. But who could know her darkest secret?
