Kevin Bacon and Fried Ward star as unhappy dreamers working as maintenance workers in a town of fourteen inhabitants. One day, they decide to leave and embark on a journey across the desert in search of better employment. Instead, they find the corpses of their fellow townspeople in the desert. The unusual circumstances of their deaths are soon clarified, as they quickly discover that they are surrounded by giant bloodthirsty worms...
