The board game takes you into the world of modern forestry, where you manage European forests. Your goal is not simply to harvest timber, but to manage the forest sustainably so that it can flourish for future generations. The game combines entertainment with expert knowledge, incorporating texts from specialists at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, who explain the ecological importance of trees and modern wood processing. As foresters and sawmill owners, you control two key characters: the harvester, which handles harvesting and reforestation in the field, and the sawmill director, who processes the harvested material and fulfils orders. You must plan each step strategically, from choosing the right type of wood, including spruce, pine, oak, beech and birch, through drying or planing it, to building forest roads, river meanders and reservoirs that alter the game board and help combat climate change. The game offers considerable variety through characters with special abilities, such as a drone operator or logistics manager, and several game modes. Beginners can use a simplified tutorial version, while experienced players can enjoy the complex strategic possibilities of the advanced game. A developed solo mode also lets you compete against a virtual opponent. The game balances economic profit with the ecological stability of the forest, integrates authentic forestry information directly into the gameplay, and offers five tree species, various technologies and special character abilities.
