This compact card game is set at the Sedlec Ossuary near Kutná Hora at the beginning of the 16th century, when plague epidemics and the Hussite Wars have filled the cemetery to overflowing. Help a nearly blind monk arrange skulls into pyramids in the chapel: excavate skulls from the cemetery, add them to your pyramid and fulfil the wishes of the dead. Inspired by Czech history, the fast-paced combination game offers a surprising number of possibilities despite its minimal components. Alongside the basic game, this edition contains six expansions of six cards each—Executioners, Poets, Champions, Merchants, Troubadours and Archers—and the tiny Jesters expansion. The expansions can be freely combined, allowing games for two to five players and a wealth of combinations, experimentation and discovery. The game contains 18 basic-game cards, 37 expansion cards, two reference sheets, and Czech and Slovak rules.
