Jurská sváča

In the category of children's games, you won't find many that are exclusively designed for two players. Jurassic Snack is one of them. And it's really well done – your herbivorous dinosaurs will try to eat as much grass as possible while being tirelessly chased away from the 'pasture' by carnivorous Tyrannosaurs. The figures are funny, and the game mechanism is more than pleasant! Given that the author is the famous Bruno Cathala (Kingdomino, 7 Wonders: Duel, Dice Town, Cyclades), this is to be expected. The game is played on a game board made up of four pieces that you can arrange in any way (not just in a square). The board has grass tokens placed on it, some of which hide special effects on their face-up sides. The goal of the game is to collect – more precisely, to eat – more grass than your opponent. In each round, you have two moves available, during which you can move one of your diplodocuses or the T-rex. You may end your movement when you encounter another dinosaur, a grass token, or the edge of the game board. The goal of the diplodocuses is, of course, to end their movement with a grass snack. This can be, as mentioned, enhanced with special effects (for example, the birth of a new diplodocus, a diplodocus flying to another field, a volcanic eruption that burns the grass…
