Anna (Alena Antalová) spends every summer with her husband (Igor Bareš) in a cottage area a few dozen kilometers outside of Prague. They have been married for what feels like an eternity, so their marriage has, as often happens, slipped into routine and monotony. The man has long justly divided his time between gambling with friends at the pub and making ship models out of matches inside bottles, while his wife is practically invisible to him. Every summer, Anna brightens her days by regularly meeting with her friends and colleagues from work, who come to visit her in picturesque Central Bohemia for cycling trips around the Kamýk Castle. One day, a man named Artur (Jaromír Hanzlík) appears in the village. An elegant, charming gentleman, who, as everyone assumes, is the new owner of the local castle. Although the castle is more of a half-ruined shell, the lord of the castle has big plans for it. A spark ignites between Artur and Anna. Anna experiences feelings she hasn't known in a long time. Artur is gallant and showers her with attention, and Anna increasingly escapes her life’s reality with him towards romantic outings and adventures...
