On the evening of August 21, 2015, the world watched in silent astonishment as news broke about a thwarted terrorist attack on Thalys train No. 9364 en route to Paris – an assault that was prevented by three brave young Americans traveling through Europe, who are portrayed in the film by the heroes themselves. Clint Eastwood's film follows the life stories of these men, whose greatest weapon in shared suffering became their mutual friendship, and whose courage saved more than 500 people from disaster.
