This audiobook follows Katka, whose adolescence is complicated by a suffocating home life, loneliness at school and an endless struggle with her weight. When she gets into her desired grammar school in Hořovice, she worries that everyone there will see her as nothing more than a fat, weird girl with books. She stops eating, hoping that changing her appearance and surroundings will transform her life, but the people around her are more concerned than pleased by her weight loss. As the kilograms disappear, problems at home and school multiply, and Katka must face whether she needs help and whether she is willing to accept it. Katka from Club of Weird Kids is entering secondary school and the dangerous period of puberty in this cautionary story for listeners aged 13 and over, which many parents will also appreciate.
