Love is love. However, some consider it a grave sin...
Communism has fallen, the Iron Curtain too, and the early nineties taste of freedom and hope. It’s no wonder that in the crumbling monastery, from which the socialist army expelled the servants of God for many years, no one is particularly eager to come, except for a few elderly nuns. Jana, alias Sister Františka, is an exception among the venerable sisters – that’s why she is entrusted with the few postulants who eventually appear, and over their hidden motivations and obvious shortcomings, the mother superior prefers to turn a blind eye. However, the mundane life in the convent does not fulfill the young nun. Thoughts of a childhood friend creep into her mind, and something draws her to the mysterious Karin, who is to become the bride of Christ. The heroine's idea of what true love looks like gradually changes, and she desperately seeks a truthful answer to the life-important question: does her heart belong to God, or to another person?
An unconventional love story from behind the monastery walls, where the writer Petra Dvořáková lived between the ages of fourteen and eighteen, depicts this world without false piety.
Length of the recording: 9 hours 44 minutes
