Beschreibung
We are losing the external landscape. Does this mean that something is happening to the internal landscape as well...? It is no coincidence that it is said that a person's inner self is best reflected in the view from their bedroom window. And in this regard, our prospects are not exactly flattering – years of indifference to the landscape of home have often resulted in a clear degradation of its spirit. A collection of essays by geologist Václav Cílek about the beauties of the Czech basin, which only seemingly slumbers beneath layers of ancient mountain-building dramas, stands out for its softness of words and sacredness of experience, revealing connections and aphoristic insights from a pilgrim who, on his journey, did what we all do while walking with concentration: he radiated the best of himself. The author's reflections show how we can rediscover the space around us not only for the benefit of nature itself but also for the sake of our own soul. After all, without the landscape, there is no human memory, and thus no solid foundation that we belong somewhere. It is time to restore the lost balance, lest we soon find ourselves knocking on psychiatrists' doors and competing with thousands of other patients. Length of the recording: 10 hours 53 minutes.
