The adventure of the lost boy, pursued by the cruel lame tiger Shere Khan, but saved by wolves. He gains the name Mowgli, and to be accepted into the wolf pack, he must be vouched for by two other animals: the old bear Baloo, who teaches the cubs the laws of the jungle, and the black panther Bagheera. The narrative consists of stories, with Mowgli (Jan Zadražil) being the main hero in more than half of them, while others complete the picture of the jungle and its inhabitants, showcasing the fates of individual animals portrayed by actors such as David Novotný, Marek Lambora, Igor Bareš, Jan Vlasák, Marek Holý, and Jaromír Nosek. The stories, written in the 19th century for contemporary children, have been sensitively retold by Jitka Škápíková.
