Czech Himalayan Adventure II – a documentary series by Czech Television – is a loose continuation of the series Czech Himalayan Adventure I. Unlike the first part, where viewers could learn about the history of conquering the 14 highest Himalayan peaks by Czech climbers, this cycle is dedicated to the most significant ascents of Czech climbers in the Himalayas. The individual episodes of the series: 1. Czech Trail Maps the performances of Czech climbers in the Himalayas from the first famous pioneering ascents to the present ones, thus continuing the documentary series Czech Himalayan Adventure I from 2003. 2. Fateful Mistake The successfully completed and technically very demanding ascent of Marek Holeček and Jan Doudlebský on Kapuru is among the extraordinary successes of contemporary Czech climbing. However, the ascent of Zdeněk Hrubý and Marek Holeček on Gasherbrum I in 2013 remains a tragedy. Exhaustion and a fateful mistake led to the fall and death of our leading climber Zdeněk Hrubý. 3. Beyond the Limits of the Possible Today's technical climbing in the Himalayas breaks all customs and rules of the original conquerors of these high mountains. In 2013, Marek Holeček and Zdeněk Hrubý set their sights on the Talung peak in the Kanchenjunga massif in eastern Nepal. Both received recognition for this ascent a year later...
