Kupředu! - CD

The album by the band Schodiště, Kupředu!, contains twelve new, original songs, always genre-diverse, whose unruliness often contrasts with the lyrical content, which is as important and lived as the music itself. The band's intention was to capture in the studio everything that makes Schodiště what it is, so that listeners receive the same dose of energy and emotions packed into the songs as during live performances. Regarding the content of the songs, the musicians say: "We focused on ourselves, slowly aging guys, on the things and situations we observe and live, which annoy us and to which we express ourselves. Sometimes angrily or ironically, other times poetically, and occasionally it may seem even pessimistically. But music always pulls us out of negative places and supports us." The album Kupředu! is released nine years after the last album Roztoky. Although frontman Doktor Krajíček recently celebrated his sixtieth birthday and the band its thirty-fifth, retirement doesn't seem to be on the horizon yet. The album Kupředu! is perhaps the most lively and energetic in Schodiště's history. The recording took place in the renowned studios Svárov and Hostivař of Zdeněk Šikýř, and the final mix was traditionally entrusted to Ondřej Ježek at the Jámor studio.
