The album by jazz double bassist Jaromír Šimíček is his original authorial record, where he presents himself exclusively as a composer. The cycle of children's songs for flute and piano, based on a simple melody, the joy of play, and evoking children's games, was entrusted to flutist David Fárka and pianist Jakub Dvořáček. The second part of the album, the wind quintet Journey through the Land of Ra, which gives the entire album its title, was recorded by the Belfiato Quintet. The five parts of this cycle again stem from the principle of play, which, like improvisation, enhances musical creativity and spontaneity, the joy of rhythm, and captivating harmonies. The album is not, of course, intended only for children, but for all listeners who want to enjoy the joy of connecting classical music, children's melodies, and jazz.
