In the long line of poets set to music and interpreted by Vladimír Veit, Václav Hrabě cannot be missed, as he is inseparably linked to Prague in the sixties. Suddenly, it seemed that the world was changing for the better. The fifties were gone, and music, literature, and art in general, along with a certain political relaxation, allowed people to breathe freely again. Hrabět's poems, previously circulated only in copies, began to slowly, albeit still modestly, penetrate the official scene. What happened next is history: Václav Hrabě tragically died in 1965, and Vladimír Veit, along with others, was pushed into exile fifteen years later. Veit's musical adaptation of Hrabět's verses now returns on an album of twelve set poems about spring nights, the sun and snow, love in the evening, and about a girl so beautiful it drives one crazy...
