The author’s CD portrays Jan Kučera as a multifaceted artist – conductor, pianist, and composer. He recorded his compositions together with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2022 and 2023. He invited conductor Tomáš Braun and violinist David Pokorný to collaborate, who premiered Kučera's Violin Concerto, which is also dedicated to him. Symphony No. 1, subtitled "Šumavská," is a tribute to the region where Jan Kučera lived until he was twelve. It is also a personal statement and reaction to events, people, and works associated with Šumava.
